Richard was born and raised in Southern California by immigrant Mexican and Cuban parents. Since 2007, he has performed improvisational and sketch comedy at The Chicago Sketch Festival, Comedy Bang Bang Sketch, The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, The Pack, IO West, Westside Comedy Theater, The Clubhouse, Improv Space, The Playground (Chicago), and countless other black box theaters. He is excited to be a member of the Nerdist School improv house team The Upside Down.
